A summer love got me a job at the family business. Little did I know this would become a serious lifelong relationship. Not with her, but a more serious woman. Mother Ocean. The business was Kayaking on the west Coast of Canada. This led to a serious surfing addiction. The only way to feed that addiction would be a life on the water. Kayaking, A stint as a commercial fisherman, Nautical school, super yachts. And then I was forced to choose life on a yacht or life in a shack. Career or love. I choose love. Shack life! I built and outrigger canoe to support my love and life in Nicaragua. But it wasn’t meant to be. To surf you only have to be close to the ocean. A job will do. I helped grow a yoga retreat center in this neck of the woods, close to my favourite wave. Years passed. The ocean still calls. Back to my roots.
